Minimum Wage Certification, 31 July 2026
The Director of Finance's certification of the state minimum wage under Labor Code section 1182.12: $16.90 an hour for all employers in 2026 and $17.40 an hour in 2027. It is the yearly notice that sets the rate: the Director works out the change by August 1, and the new figure takes effect the next January 1. Each figure is for its own year.
